About the role
To assist Audio Visual Supervisor, Audio Visual & Operations Coordinator and Operations Team Leaders in coordinating the operational requirements of clients of the Cairns Convention Centre.
Key responsibilities include:
- To effectively build, alter and remove set ups in all areas of the Centre as directed by the Audio-Visual & Operations Coordinator and Operations Team Leaders.
- Assist the Operations Team Leaders in the set up and operation of technical and production needs of clients of the Cairns Convention Centre.
- Assist with the storage, distribution and dispatch of client and non-catering products for the Centre and clients.

The Cairns Convention Centre has an auditorium with seats for 2,300 delegates, an arena with 5,000 seats, additional plenary that can fit 410 delegates theatre style, 23 meeting rooms for breakouts, beautiful ballroom for 500 dinner guests, outdoor plaza, spacious lobby for pre-dinner functions and a stunning terrace with views over Trinity Inlet.

Qualifications Required
- Knowledge of conference/event set ups and etiquette.
- Knowledge of WH&S practices.
- Understanding of correct manual handling procedures.
- Basic knowledge of audio visual, operational and event equipment.
