About the role
The key responsibilities of the Kitchen Steward are:
- Assist Chefs and Kitchen Assistant Team Leader with the basic preparation and production of food products.
- Receiving of goods into the kitchen.
- Washing and sanitising of all kitchen equipment.
- Undertake bulk washing of all cutlery, crockery and glassware.
- Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and pot/dishwashing area.
- Oversee set up/breakdown of catering events.
- Removal of rubbish.
- Implement procedures of the CCC Food Safety Program (FSP).

Qualifications Required
- Short course in Stewarding (desirable).
- Knowledge of different cleaning chemicals.
- Knife handling skills.
- Working knowledge of commercial dishwashers.
